In September, all the movements and networks to do with immigration converged on Rivas, Madrid, between the 11th and 13th of the month, to mark the 3rd world social forum on migration (WSFM).
The Soc couldn’t miss this coming together, and was represented by the participation of Federico Pacheco, immigration co-ordinator for Soc Andalusia. Amongst other things he took part in the plenary conference on “Work and Migration” as well as in the organisation of a demonstration on Sunday 14th called for by REDI (state-wide network for immigrants’ rights).
Video documentation of the different talks and conferences are displayed on the website of Rivas district council, which hosted the event. The 3rd WSFM closed with a declaration, produced by the “assembly of movements” present.
